Page 1 - African Dance
In Africa, dance is much more than physical movement - it is a direct way to celebrate life and create healing. African Healing Dance is a step-by-step course on the healing tradition and expressive movements that are unique to Africa's dance heritage. From the movements of nature and everyday life, the tribal people of Africa developed specific dances to summon the energy of the world around them into their bodies for connection and healing. Through dancing, they became the bird and the wind, the fire and the serpent. Learn More: shop.soundstrue.com www.wyomadance.com

New York City is one of America's centers of African life, so it's no surprise that there are specialist African dancers here who are often hired to dance for parties and African bands. One of the most well known is MAMBO, from Cameroon. Meet Mambo — and see her in the Soukous Stars videos also posted here at youtube. Correct pronunciation is "mom-BO" — with the accent on the "bo"
